As of right now, I'm skint. With my student loan running out and officially noting myself as self-employed until I find myself a job, money is pretty tight around here. Because of this, I've had to be pretty clever when it comes to my wardrobe and my personal styling, as I typically get really bored with my outfits. So after some serious pinning, I'm going back to fashion basics and starting a scratch as we transition from summer and autumn dressing.
Trying to get as many bare legs in as possible, I've been reaching on a weekly basis for this denim skirt I picked up in the sales last Christmas time. It's looking super super faded and is in need of a dye, but I love it nevertheless. I currently own a whoopin' 2 two skirts that fit me properly, and this is one of them - it nips me in at the waist and doesn't feel too hugging around the hips which I've very happy about (small waist, big hip girls ya feel me). It's versatile and I'm sure it's going to last me many years to come. The same goes for this pretty basic v-neck top that I bought on a whim a little while back, and MY GOD it is only like the nicest, most flattering, basic ever. I remember it being really affordable (basically the price of a coffee and cake) and now I'm wishing I'd picked one up in every variation, I love pairing it with this white blazer that I spotted in the Tesco sale whilst doing the weekly shop. For £10 it would've been rude not too, am I right or am I right? And for my shoes, we all know how much I love Converse, so being a little thrifty, I visited LoveTheSales and spotted these bad boys with a really reasonable discount. I thought they'd be a little darker in colour when I ordered them, but I've found their raspberry hue surprisingly versatile and they make the perfect transitional colour for the season!
