Some of my Skincare Favourites

It’s no secret that I love skincare, and with my skin going a little crazy in the Spring, I’ve introduced some new products into my routine which I am really enjoying using. My skin is often on the sensitive side, so I have to be a little careful when trying new things, but I can happily say none of these have caused any reaction and my skin is finally starting to improve, phew!

When it comes to cleansing, I’ve been trying really hard to ensure I cleanse both morning and night, with a double cleanse if I’ve been wearing makeup on that day. For taking off my makeup on an evening, a new product in my routine is the Clinique Take The Day Off Balm* which I can safely say I love. I’d heard a lot of amazing things said about it in the blogosphere and boy were they right, it helps melt away all of my makeup and doesn’t sting my eyes which is always a good thing! Keeping in mind that my skin is super sensitive, I’ll typically follow that up with the La Roche Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser which is a total life-saver if you’re prone to allergic reactions like me. This product has granted itself holy grail status, I swear! It keeps my skin feeling calm and refreshed whilst also ensuring it gets a deep clean.

Once my skin is feeling lovely and cleansed, every few days, I’ve been using the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant which I’ve used for a couple of years now. I can find it a little harsh if my face is irritated to begin with, so I tend to use it quite sparingly, but I always notice instant results (particularly with those pesky forehead bumps) whenever I use this so it’s a firm favourite of mine. And just to ensure every last bit of makeup is off my face, I’ll finish my routine with a swipe of Clinique Clarifying Lotion, which, as you can tell from the photographs, I really enjoy to use. On first impressions I thought it was going to be a little strong for my sensitive skin but I was completely wrong – I love how clean my face feels after using this. And if I’m feeling super super lazy with my routine, this is the one thing I never fail to use.

Moisturiser-wise, admittedly I use quite a few on a daily basis (basically whichever is within reaching distance ahahaha lazy) but a recent discovery is the L’Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water. This stuff. You need to try it. Seriously. With a dreamy scent, and an even dreamier formula, my skin feels so super soft and smooth whenever I use this product. I have a slightly feeling I’m allergic to Hyaluronic Acid (as I tend to get bumps all over my face whenever I use it) which this product has in so I do tend to use this carefully, but I love it nevertheless.
