With the temperature noticeably colder, it’s that time of year where I have to crack out the winter skincare routine and mix it up with my daily products. My skin tends to be dry throughout the year, but during the colder months I find I really have to bring out the more heavy duty skincare to help my skin in tip-top condition.
Magnitone Brush* – It’s only been this past year or so that I’ve found myself including skincare tools in my daily routine, but lemme tell ya, they are life-changing. I tend to use this at night with a foaming cleanser, such as BareMinerals Gentle Deep Cleansing Foam, as part of my double-cleansing routine as I find it great for achieving a deep clean that clears away any left-over makeup from the day. As my skin is really dry and flaky, especially at this time of year, it’s also great for helping remove this to help leave my skin feeling smooth.
REN Flash Hydro-Boost* – I’ve already mentioned my skin gets very dry in the winter, so as you can imagine, moisturising products are a huge part of my routine. As well as my daily moisturiser that I’ve used for months (Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion), I’ve started using this as an extra boost. It’s unlike any other moisturiser I’ve used, as you actually apply it to your face and then add water to ‘activate’ it’s hydrating properties but I really find it gives instant results – perfect to use before applying my makeup.
Korres Advanced Repair Sleeping Facial* – As a night-time routine extra, just before going to sleep, I’ve gotten into the habit of using this cream to wear overnight. Not only does it smell amazing, this rich cream feels like a dream when applied to the skin and leaves my skin feeling plumped and fresh the next morning. It’s one of those products that feels like a real treat, and I’ll certainly be treating myself to another tub once this one runs out.
Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip Balm – A classic on the blogging scene, this lip balm really is as good as everyone says. It’s quite different to others I’ve tried, with a much more wax consistency, but boy does it work. I apply it daily and I haven’t struggled with dry flaky lips since.
Pixi Glow Tonic* – Another highly raved about product, for many months I’d been quite hesitant to use this incase it irritated my sensitive skin, but I love it. It’s gentle enough for me to use both in my morning and night skincare routine, and I always find myself noticing a difference to the appearance to my skin straight after use. As the name suggests, it helps to give my skin a glow by removing any dead skin cells and helping to reduce any of those pesky under the skin blemishes.
What are your winter skincare essentials? Are you a fan of any of these products?
