It’s that time of year where you’ve got the best excuse to give yourself a good pamper and go all out when it comes to Christmas parties. For me, I really enjoy applying my own makeup and styling my own outfit, but when it comes to hair, I’m a bit rubbish. So when I was recently contacted by Regis to a try out a complimentary ‘friendsnips’ treatment at my local salon in conjunction with the new ghd Copper Luxe range, I jumped at the opportunity.
As someone who visits Intu Metrocentre on an almost weekly basis, I’ve always been familiar with their Regis salon but hadn’t visited so I wasn’t sure what to expected, but me and my mam were welcomed with open arms. After talking with the team over how I’d like my hair styled over some Prosecco, we were taken over to the basins for a complimentary hair treatment (I went for the hydration one which was incredible!) which left my hair feeling the best it ever has. After almost drifting to sleep (it was THAT relaxing) my lovely stylist took me to my seat and worked his magic on my hair. Since my hair is quite fine, I chose to go for a textured, wavy look and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Between talking all things fashion (and Bake Off…) my stylist told me step by step what he was doing to create extra volume and ways I could recreate the same look at home – I’ve since started curling my hair in opposite directions with my straighteners and it’s changed my life!
All in all, it was such a lovely evening and both me and my mam had the best time – so a huge thank you to the Regis Gateshead team over at Intu Metrocentre for being amazing. I’m already saving up to return, after speaking to a colour specialist there I’m itching to try something new!
This service is currently being trialled in four salons at the moment (Regis Gateshead Metrocentre, Regis Spa Salon Jenners Edinburgh, Regis Fenwick Newcastle and Regis Debenhams Metrocentre) so if you live local to any of those I’d totally recommend checking them out. It costs £20 per person and includes a glass of Prosecco and a blow dry. And if you aren’t so local, there are various other blow drys and treatments similar to this in other Regis salons so it’s certainly worth having a look – it’s not only perfect for this time of year, but it makes such a great gift too!
(I didn’t get a photograph of my hair unfortunately – but didn’t my mam’s look amazing?!)
