After a slight hiatus from blogging, I thought I’d share with you another outfit from my holidays which were just over a month ago now (how?!). I was in two minds whether to post it or not, but I’m hoping to get them all live over the next week or so as it is August after all – even if is currently looking rather rainy as I type this!
Holiday dressing for me means easy to put together pieces that don’t require much thinking, so this outfit is one of those fail-safe outfits for me. I picked up this palm print skirt in Primark a few years ago, and it’s become one of my favourite pieces – I mean, how amazing is the print?! If I could have it in a pillowcase, bed sheet and shower curtain I probably would too to be honest. Keeping the rest of the outfit simple, I decided to pair it with this white top I panic bought in TK Maxx before my holidays. If there’s one wardrobe staple I swear by, it’s a white top/shirt/blouse and my wardrobe was lacking so I thought I’d pick myself up some new ones. The broderie anglaise detailing on the sleeves had me at hello! And of course, a couldn’t help but sport a bring pink lip because it’s a summer beauty must, right?
As I mentioned at the start, I took a little break from blogging the past few month or so. Y’know when you’re just really not feeling something and the more you try, the worst it gets? Well, that was me. Paired with some really awful mental health days, it was a bad combo and I really just needed to take a step back from it all; clear my head, remember why I began to blog in the beginning – that sort of stuff. After many hours spent over on Pinterest I’m definitely starting to feel a much happier about my blog and I’m challenging myself to post every other day throughout this month which I’m really excited about as I’m hoping to change up my content and experiment with some new photography styles I’ve been wanting to for a while now!
What are your plans for this August? Anything exciting?
