If you know me, Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year. I’m not too fond of Christmas Day itself, but the excitement in the run up never gets old to me – and any excuse to celebrate is a winner in my books. So when I was recently contacted by the lovely PR team at Debenhams asking if I’d like to take part in their Bloggers Secret Santa this year, I jumped at the chance. I mean, Christmas presents in October?! C’mon!
So after many days of waiting for
Santa Claus the postman to arrive and this morning this little box of goodies was delivered to my door step. Delving into the wonderfully wrapped gifts (I mean there was even confetti you guys!) I was absolutely thrilled to see that the lovely Grace of Dorothy & Olive had picked me the most wonderful selection of goodies.
Choosing to open the smallest package first, I was absolutely delighted to discover the Estee lauder Pure Colour Long Lasting Lipstick in Rose Tea*
which is the most perfect daytime nude rose shade. I’ve never tried any Estee Lauder products before, but having applied it straight away – I can safely say I’ve fallen for this formula. With the colder days creeping in, I’ve found my lips to be a little more chapped than normal, but this lipstick is one of the most hydrating I’ve tried. With a balm-like feel, it’s one of those lipsticks you can quickly swipe on and you’re good to go.
Along with lipsticks, I have a thing for eyeshadows. People are always a little shocked when I say I’ve never tried an Urban Decay Naked Palette before, so I was super excited to open the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette* next. Out of the range, this is actually the palette I’ve always been the most attracted to and on first swatch, I can see these becoming a favourite of mine. The warmer colour range is just up my street and I’m really looking forward to creating some different looks.
And I lastly unwrapped these incredible OPI Nails Venice Collection set* that I’m already planning on trying out tonight. Another brand that I’ve heard lots about but have never really dipped my toes into, I’ve been wanting to give OPI nail polishes for quite some time now. This collection in particular is focused around the city of Venice and the colours are truly lovely – I mean, that copper/rose gold shade is perfect!
With Christmas quickly approaching, it’s certainly now time to get thinking about gift ideas. Whilst browsing the Debenhams website for my gifts to Grace, I was amazed by their variety of brands available especially when it comes to beauty products. So if you’re looking for ideas on what to buy your loved ones, I’d highly recommend looking through Debenhams’ Christmas Range – I’ve already spotted a few things I’ll be picking up!
Ps – if you’re curious over what goodies I picked for her, check out her blog post!
