After falling in love with these gingham print trousers from Topshop a number of months ago, they’ve been on my mind ever since. Unfortunately with stretched funds, I was left just swooning over them everyday I visited my local store. However, when I rushed into Topshop’s sales 2 weeks ago on the first day (far too keen) I spotted these amongst the rails and shed a little tear. Finally, the trousers of my dreams were affordable and needless to say I sprinted towards the till. Since I’m rather small, one of my greatest struggles in life is finding trousers that aren’t too long – but by gosh – these fit me perfectly. Oh and they’re incredibly flattering on the stomach too, bonus!
I chose to keep the rest of my outfit quite played down, with this grey high-neck thin jumper I picked up in Primark’s sale a number of months ago. And my go-to birks of course, those things are practically stuck to my feet at the minute. Most. Comfortable. Shoes. Ever.
There photographs were taken at Leazes’s Terrace (much to the amusement of many passer-bys who found it fun to snigger and say a few remarks) and I can safely say I’m so happy to have found this shooting location. With the perfect balance of greenery, road and buildings, there’s something about this set of photographs which I absolutely love – they may even be my favourite yet.
What do you think?
And because I like to post the odd funny outtake… this was my genuine reaction that Helen caught on camera when I discovered the trousers didn’t have pockets. WHY?! (I’m such a natural beauty, it truly kills me)
