(Dress – ASOS, Coat – Topshop, iPhone Case – c/o Iconmesis, Shoes – New Look, Bag – Zara, Necklace – eBay)
With the weather in the North of England where I live finally starting to resemble spring, I decided to jump at the chance of taking outfit posts outside for the first time in a while. Me and my parents took a trip up to Bolam lake, a place only 10 minutes up the road but somewhere I’d not visited before. And it didn’t disappoint, with it quickly becoming what may be my new favourite backdrop – I even made friends with two of the local swans! Plus it was a lovely little getaway from university stresses and deadlines which have been taking up a lot of my time recently.
I bought this smock dress from ASOS at the end of 2013 and it’s safe to say it hasn’t left my back since. With a red check print and wooly fabric, it’s been a firm winter favourite and one I’ll definitely be reaching for next Autumn. With it’s 3/4 length sleeves and petite length which fits me perfect, it’s a total dream! And I’ve noticed that ASOS are currently stocking it’s summer version in lilac and white… I’m not sure I can resist a naughty purchase! If you read my blog a year ago (props to you if you have) you may have seen the post I wrote when I first bought this coat from Topshop. While it’s definitely seen better days (notice the stitching falling apart) I can’t seem to part with it and the quest to find it’s replacement continues, I’m not sure I’ll ever find one I love more. The necklace is something I bought over 5 years ago before my year 11 prom – oh I feel old now – and it was a typical case of eBay description misreading. At the time I thought it would be oversized and on a shorter chain, however it was the complete opposite and only recently have started to wear it.
Iconmesis recently contacted me asking if I’d like to feature one of their cases on my blog. Now, as someone who is super protective over their phone (I currently have a case for the case… obsessed much?) I was quick to pick this Fifi Lapin one – so adorable! And the bag, oh the bag. I was lucky enough to receive this Zara bag from my best friend for my 21st birthday last year, and it’s now one of my staple pieces. While a Celine Trio Pouch is still unfortunately out of reach, a girl can dream, this beauty is a lovely alternative. Zara really never get it wrong.
